Welcome to the Lions Wrestling Club. We promote the sport of wrestling in the greater McLean area of Northern Virginia. We welcome beginners and experienced wrestlers ages 5 to 14. We are part of the Northern Virginia Wrestling Federation (NVWF), which consists of similar clubs throughout northern Virginia. New wrestlers are always welcome. The NVWF is the perfect place for beginning wrestlers to learn the sport. Rookies are typically matched against other rookies at our weekly meets.  

Our mission is to teach the sport of wrestling and the values and character traits wrestling reinforces. These include dedication and hard work as the path to success, a refusal to give up, an attitude of personal confidence, and most of all, taking responsibility for one's own successes and failures. We also strive to ensure that the kids have fun, and we measure our success as a youth program by retention rate.
 
Our typical season runs from early November through late February. Practices will be twice a week for our older wrestlers (likely Monday and Thursday this season) and twice a week for our younger wrestlers (likely Tuesday and Saturday this season). Tournaments are held on Sundays, usually starting in mid-December and continuing through mid-February. 

Registration for the 2026–27 season will open on October 1 for returning families and October 5 for new families.
